Biography

First Lieutenant, pilot, B24 Liberator, 67th Bomb Squadron, 44th Bomb Group (Heavy) USAAF.

Shot down on March 8, 1943 with the B24 ‘Emmy Lou’, 44BG/67BS during a mission to bomb the railway yards near Rouen, France.

The bodies of the fallen crew members were recovered and buried by the Germans at the time, but Robert Blaine's body could not be identified. He is therefore still listed as missing. His name appears on the Wall of Missing at the Ardennes US Cemetery in Belgium.
