"During the period February 1944, as G1, 3rd Carpathian Division, he assisted the Divisions Commander very efficiently in command, organisation and directing the work of the Staff.

Thanks to the energy and initiative of Lieutenant Colonel Rybikowski, the Divisions General Staff always obtained in time those elements necessary for the Commanders decision and for directing the battle.

His work was especially evident as (G1) during operations after crossing the River Senio and during the operations against the River Santerno Line. During the pursuit after the crossing of the River Idice, Lieutenant Colonel Rybikowski personally passed the Divisions Commanders orders to the first line commanders, by going up to the forward units under heavy enemy artillery and machine gun fire."
