Biography

Left from occupied the Netherlands in 1943 together with Doffie le Comte, Henk Elfrink, Bob Haye, Huib Herklotz, Wim Koole, Daan Otten, Anton Schrader, Dick en Karel van Dam and Alfred Hagan in a boat to England. The small boat was transported to the HAringvliet on board the "Nooit Volmaakt", where the group boarded the ship. The left form there to England on July 25th, 1943 during the night via hte Haringvliet and the North Sea towards England. They reached ENgland on July 30th.
On August 19th, 1943 he reported to the Recruteringsbureau and joined the Royal Air Force. After training in Canada he bacem Instructor.
