Gerhard Zoppoth was recommended to received the Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes as Leutnant and Führer, 6. Kompanie, Grenadier-Regiment 732. His recommendation was entered with the Heeres Personal Amt (HPA) on April 15th, 1945 and supported by Major Domaschk on April 16th, 1945. The recommendation was entered as number 5142 and at first granted, but directly denied and entered for further research by General Burgdorf for definitive decision. No further decisision was made before the end of the war. Therefore no formal awarding.
