Biography

From his obituary:

"He attended Eunice High School and graduated as Valedictorian in 1938. In 1941, he married the former Marjorie Moreau. In 1943, he joined the U.S. Army and he served in Italy where he earned the Purple Heart and the Bronze Sar. On his return, he was employed by Production Credit Association of Opelousas and he retired as Vice President and manager of St. Landry Parish after thirty-three years. St. Landry Parish Farm Bureau awarded him the distinguished Service Award for Community Service. France Louisiana recognized him for exceptional contribution to the French Renaissance movement in Louisiana. He hosted an all-French radio program on radio station KSLO in Opelousas for over twenty-five years. The Cajun French Music Association presented him with the Pioneer Award in 1995 for promotion of Cajun culture."
