Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War

This museum is dedicated to those who gave their lives for the Motherland during the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945). The museum consists of the Entry Hall, the Halls of Glory and Memory, the Picture Hall and six dioramas devoted to the most dramatic battles of the Great Patriotic War, two movie theatres, a hall for veterans' meetings and an exhibition hall. The museum items exhibited here are official documents, official and personal letters, newspaper articles, photographs and paintings. The names of those who died in the Great Patriotic War are enlisted in the Memory Hall. The museum installed an automated search system to help visitors find information on these soldiers more easily.
