Grave Wernher von Braun
Ivy Hill Cemetery contains the grave of Wernher von Braun, who died on 16 June 1977. Wernher von Braun was a Germen rocket-scientist who was responsible for the development of the V-2 in the Second World War. After the war, he worked for the Americans, where he was of great importance for the development of military and space rockets.
