Monument Executed Commonwealth Soldiers Audrieu

This memorial was unveiled on June 8, 1989, by the Royal Winnipeg Rifles. It commemorates the 65 Commonwealth servicemen (mostly Canadian) who were murdered by the 12th SS Panzer Division "Hitlerjugend" between June 8 and 11, 1944.

To the memory of those members of the Royal Winnipeg Rifles and supporting arms who were murdered, while prisoners of war, at le Chateau d'Audrieu, near le Mesnil-Patry and at le Haut du Bosq, on 8, 9 and 11 June 1944.
