This memorial was unveiled on June 8, 1989, by the Royal Winnipeg Rifles. It commemorates the 65 Commonwealth servicemen (mostly Canadian) who were murdered by the 12th SS Panzer Division "Hitlerjugend" between June 8 and 11, 1944.
