War memorial Rohrsen Cemetery

The monument stands on a low sand mound that dominates the east side of the cemetery. In the shape of a square truncated pyramid made of large grey sandstone blocks it rests on a single step base.

The monument faces west towards the cemetery. On the west side are inscribed together in 2 columns in chronological order the names of the 13 WW1 dead and 1 missing, with the day, month and year for each individual given. The dead and missing are differentiated by a cross or the abbreviation VERM(issen).

On the south side are inscribed together the dead and missing of WW2 (33) in identical format in 3 columns. A dedication in an oak wreath is carved above.
On the east side is carved in relief a military cross with a bible quote, and on the north side a christian.
