Battery 241

Battery 241 was a part of Fort MacArthur, part of the harbor defense of Los Angeles and was built in 1943. The battery was operational until 1956, when it was deactivated. It was equipped with two 6" guns but these were mounted after the end of the Second World War.

Nowadays the battery is open to the public.
