There are three Dutch war graves at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Gendringen, for P.J. Kuiper, W.G.J. Weijkamp and B.G. Reijers.

Petrus Johannes Kuiper, born on 8 April 1909 in Haarlem. Arrested during a raid on 6 December in Heemstede. Died on 12 March 1945 in Gendringen and buried there in the Roman Catholic cemetery.

Wilhelmus Gerardus Josephus Weijkamp. He was 30 years old. Born on 5 October 1913 in Gendringen. Killed on 11 September 1944 at Dellstrasse 39 in Rees, Germany.

Bennie Reijers was fatally wounded on 22 October 1944 during a British Spitfire attack on a German 88 mm gun that was positioned behind his parents' farm. Several stray bullets also hit the farm. His parents found their 18-year-old son in the hallway of the house. Bennie was killed instantly by bullets that had penetrated the roof of the farm or by shrapnel from the 20 mm grenades fired from the aircraft's onboard weapons.
