Belgian River Casemate Vroenhoven

This Belgian river casemate was constructed in the '30s at the bridge across the Albert Canal in Vroenhoven. More than ten Belgian soldiers perished while defending this bunker on 10 May 1940.

This plaque is attached to the casemate at Vroenhoven bridge. The text is:
