Fortress Warsaw - Fort I (Bielany)
Fort I was built in the 80s of the 19th century as component of the Warsaw fortress. It was manned by a Polish battalion in September 1939, which suffered heavy casualties due to a technical error.
The fort today:
It is currently abandoned and has deteriorated and is in ruins.
