Shipwreck of HMS Crested Eagle

The HMS Crested Eagle was sunk by the Germans on 29 May 1940, during the evacuation of Dunkirk. More than 300 people were killed. The wreck is now still visible at low spring tide, at the beach of Zuydcoote.
