Dutch-Indies Monument Neer

The 'Dutch-Indies monument' in Neer (municipality of Leudal) is in memory of J.M. Emonts, died on 27-11-1948. Jacobus Michiel Emonts was born on October 31, 1927 in Neer. He was encamped with the 2-5-7 Infantry Regiment battalion. Emonts is buried on the Dutch plot at Menteng Pulo in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The monument is made of ceramics and manufactured by St. Joris Keramische Industrie.
