War Memorial Bodegraven

In front of the entrance to the Vredehof Cemetery is a monument for the mayor Gerrit Rokus Vonk. Plaques are attached to the sides with the names of war victims from Bodegraven.
The text on the memorial is:
IN MEMORY OF

MAYOR OF BODEGRAVEN
SHOT DOWN ON 20 DECEMBER 1944
Furthermore it says at the bottom:
STILL FOR A MOMENT
NEVER FORGET THE OFFERS THAT WERE MADE
