Memorial Harm Drost

The 20-year-old Drost was traveling with his parents and brother and sister on the inland navigation vessel De Tijd from Akkrum to Groningen.
Just after they had crossed the bridge, a plane suddenly appeared and fired at the ship.
Drost standing on the aft deck was hit in his side. He died of his injuries on the spot.
