Saint Joost Chapel Breda

This chapel of 1517 is in the busiest shopping street in Breda. Just after the liberation of Breda, the chapel was made a memorial chapel for the Second World War. This was the request of Bishop Hopmans of Breda, he had promised to build a chapel if Breda would be spared of major war violence. By the city council was decided to use this chapel for this purpose, the chapel was at that time a house.
