On the four sides of the socle are these texts:
"living in freedom is playing for God"
"consolation welled from sources of trust
"their will was law/ their law was dead"
"life where freedom was taken is living in protest"

Written on the stone besides it:
"Judith, statue of liberty of the city Breda by Niel Steenbergen, text Karel Meeuwese, 1952"
