In the wedding hall of the town hall in Nijkerk is a stained-glass window placed to remember the assault of the resistance between Putten and Nijkerk. This assault led to a reprisal measurement in which hundreds of men were deported. Of those, a few returned. In the window, the date of the assault is written, October 1th 1944.
Thanks to mister Dion van Hooren, the municipality of Nijkerk.
