German Radarposition Tiger - Bettung Freya-Gerät

Bettung Freya-Gerät.

The Freya radar was placed in an open bed. At the base of the mast to which the grating was mounted was the control cabin with the transmitting and receiving equipment. The nearly three-meter-high fragmentation wall provided protection for the cab and operators. The antenna frame rose above the perimeter wall.

This bunker is part of the German radarposition Tiger from World War II. This site is now housed in a museum. More information about this museum can be found at https://bunkersterschelling.nl/
