German Radarposition Tiger - Tobruk

A Tobruk.

This is a small concrete bunker with an opening at the top from which it could be fired with a machine gun. The name comes from Tobruk in Libya, where the Germans first discovered this originally Italian design. Thousands were subsequently built in the Atlantic Wall.

This bunker is part of the German radarposition Tiger from World War II. This site is now housed in a museum. More information about this museum can be found at https://bunkersterschelling.nl/
