Memorial in St. Michael and St. Gudula Cathedral

Bas-relief monument for the fallen of the First World War.
Work from 1924 by Amédée Hamoir.

Central motif: three veiled women.
In the middle: the pity (la piété), right: the pain (la douleur) and left: the resignation (la résignation))

The frame is made of black marble with some motifs with letters slightly raised and gilded.
The names of the fallen are mentioned on the left and right in gilded letters.
