War Memorial Templechen Schleiden
In 1910 several militarist associations, including the Kreiskriegerverband, worked to create a monument for the Reichseinigungkriegen: Second German-Danish War (1964), Austro-Prussian War (1866) and the Franco-Prussian War (1870/1871).
This was not so much about the victims, but more about hero worship with a militaristic and nationalistic undertone.
Construction started in 1914. It was only put into use in 1931.
