On the side of the market was a large stone plaque bearing the names of the fallen World War I soldiers. The image of a resting lion served as a crown. The monument, damaged in the Second World War, was removed and the lion was taken to a garden in Aachen. Today there is a commemorative plate made of iron band. On the basis the years 1914/1918 and 1939/1945.
