Belgian Machine Gun Posts Boyau Hillebrand

Frontzate the cycle path over the railway bed from Nieuwpoort to Diksmuide was the Belgian line during the First World War due to the flooding of the Yzer plain.
Today we still see several remains of shelters, machine gun positions and medical posts along this line.
Not far from the front line are the remains of two Belgian machine gun posts, these were named Boyau Hillebrand after the farm Ferme Hillebrand that was in the area.
