Memorial Weduwe Van Enschodtbrug

This bridge was on 4 September 1944 the route of the Allies who could, tipped by Robert Vekemans, attack the German defenders of the A-12 bridge at Boom from behind and save this bridge from destroying. Antwerp was loberated the same day.

The Weduwe Van Enschodtbrug-bridge was demolished in 1946. A small part remained as a memorial.
