Memorial Battle of Londerzeel

At the Battle of Londerzeel - also known as the Battle of Neeravert - on September 29, 1914, three officers and 127 soldiers were killed on the Belgian side. As a tribute to the fallen soldiers, Miss J. Orianne from Londerzeel had a monument erected on September 29, 1919 - on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the battle. The building is by architect Diongre. The following text can be read in both national languages:

"To the officers and soldiers of the 12th Line Regiment, 1st, 3rd, 6th Regiment Hunters on foot and Carabiniers killed in Londerzeel."
