Traces Clock Robbery Sint Michaëlkerk Beek

In the choir of St. Michael's Church in Beek en Donk, traces of the removal of the bells by the Germans in December 1942 are still visible in the stone arch. The bells were lowered with steel cables to be used in the German war industry.

Hendrikus Swinkels wrote about this in his diary: "On the choir in the large stone arch, approximately in the middle of it are two stones through the steel cables, with which the bells were lowered, each through two deep slots sanded out. "
