Launch Site V1 Puttershoek
The former sugar factory was used as a V1 rocket launch site.From 27 January 1945 onward an estimated number of hundred were launched at the Port of Antwerp.Antwerp is the city which was the town who suffered the most under V-1 V-2 attacks during the war.More then 3700 fell on the city..After a successful bombardment on 25 of February the launching ended.The villages in the line of fire suffered by malfunctioning V1's.The nearby village of Maasdam was on of those villages.
