Memorial Nordhorn

A circular structure resting on ten pillars above a star-shaped brick pavement, in the center is a block bearing the names of the 91 soldiers who died in the First World War. The monument is located in a forest plot next to the canal, embedded in nature. Black granite slabs are attached to 2 pillars, bearing the names of the fallen of the Altendorf Archers' Association during the 2nd World War. The monument was erected in 1928/29 on the Heseper Weg for the fallen of the municipality of Altendorf, which was independent until 1921.
