War Memorial War Victims Afghanistan

Monument to the Lithuanian victims of the war in Afghanistan in the 1980s.

The top of the monument depicts a mother holding her dead son in her arms, between them is a black tulip, the symbol of the war in Afghanistan. The bottom of the monument shows lists of fallen soldiers, 96 names in total.
The monument has been placed here because many have left for Afghanistan from here.
