Memorial American Pilots Wegnez
This plaque commemorates the American pilots who were captured by the Germans after their B17 bomber was hit by anti-aircraft fire. This happened during a mission bombardment on the factories in the vicinity of Regensburg. The crew managed to escape the aircraft by parachute. They would all survive the war.
