U.S. Coast Guard Academy

The U.S. Coast Guard Academy was established in 1910. During the Second World War, many coastguards were trained here. After the war, the academy received the former German training ship "Horst Wessel" (1936). The academy has a visitor center with displays and a multi-media show.
