Bunker MeMo 1 and 1 bis

Bunkers MeMo 1 and 1 bis are part of the monument for King Albert of Belgium.

The monument is located on top of 'Ile Monsin', the isle of Monsin, where the river Meuse and the Albert Channel. They are part of the f4th line of defence for the city of Liège, la Position Fortifiée de Liège 4, PFL 4. In total the isle of Monsin consisted of 8 bunkers (MeMo 1 to MeMo 6) of which 4 remain. These are MeMo 1, 1 bis, 2 and 6).

At the left side of the monument is bunker MeMo 1. On the right bunker MeMo 2 is located.

A big statue of King Albert is on the front side of the tower.
