Monument Capain Pire, fort Pontisse
This plaque commemorates Captain Pire of Fort Pontisse in May 1940.
On his orders, the fort was steadfastly defended until May 18, 10 days after the German invasion, when it was forced to abandon resistance against the overwhelming superiority of the German army.
