Memorial plaques Colonel Blondeel and Regiment Parachutists S.A.S. Gravensteen Gent
In Het Gravensteen in Ghent there are two plaques one for Colonel Edouard "Eddy" Blondeel and for the1st Regiment Parachutists. Colonel Blondeel was commander of the Belgian 5th S.A.S. during World War II. After the war, he was the first commander of the1st Regiment of Paratroopers.
