Information Panel Wollseifen

The deserted village of Wollseifen.
Situated in close proximity tot he ‘Westwall’ bunkers of the ‘Emplacement Vogelsang’ the village of Wollseifen was heavily destroyed by artillery fire at the end of World War II. In September 1946 the inhabitants had to leave their village, because a military training ground was tob e created in that aera. Following the withdrawal of the Belgian troops and the establishment of the Eifel National Park the deserted village has been accesible again since 2006.
