Contrescarpe fort Pontisse
This is the central contrescarpe that could fire in two directions at the invaders in the tank trench. The other two contrescarps could only fire in one direction.
The layout is similar to the other forts around hatch. On the first floor there are 4 machine guns and two emergency exits. On the second floor there are also four machine guns but also two searchlights.
Clearly visible is the war damage from bullet impacts from May 1940 that is still visible after all these years.
