Bofors Anti-Aircraft Tower Brooklands

This concrete tower was built during the Second World War. To counter enemy aircraft, concrete towers were built to mount 40mm Bofors Anti-Aircraft guns. These guns were designed not to destroy aircraft outright but to disrupt their bombing runs.

The tower now forms part of Brooklands Museum as an external historical object on the site.
