The municipal cemetery of the village of Rotheu-Rimière contains a French war grave from World War I.
Buried here is
POUTAS Louis, age 18 !, from Theurtéville-Bocage of the arrondissement of Manche, 2nd cannoneer with the 341st Regiment d'Artillerie Coloniale (RAC), died on January 4, 1919 from the effects of mistreatment during captivity.
Apparently he was so badly weakened by the beatings that he could not be transported to France after the armistice. He died more than 6 weeks after the end of the war at Rotheu-Rimière.
