Atlantikwall Bunkers Fort Mindin

Around the former Fort Mindin there are still three German bunkers that were part of the Atlantik-Wall. The fort at the mouth of the Loire built in the 19th century , served to defend the port of Saint-Naizare. During World War II, Saint-Naizare was one of the largest home ports for Nazi Germany's U-bote. The fort was badly damaged during that period but restored in the 1980s and is now a maritime museum.
