Gestapo Office Marburg

The Gestapo established itself in 1933 in the Kilianskapelle (St. Kilian's Chapel), the oldest church building in the city center. Interrogations took place here, often involving the mistreatment of detainees. The secret police also utilized the holding cells in the basement of the town hall.
