German bunker from World War II but not really from the Atlantic Wall. It is a Luftschutz of the Reichsbahn, in other words a shelter of the German railway service. Currently, it is used as a depot by the SNCB.
Normally this type is 14m long and 6.4m wide in the classic design but this is a shortened version of 3.5m.
Until a few years ago, this bunker was completely covered with climbing plants.
Now it stands visibly at a junction of two busy railway lines with numerous fast-moving trains every day.
Due to its dangerous location, it is therefore not accessible and certainly not accessible.
The photos of the bunker were taken by Mr Pierre Nowak (Atlantikwall Belgium) with the permission and guidance of the SNCB.
