Statue Major General Sir Henry Lukin

Major-General Sir Henry Timpson Lukin KCB CMG DSO (24 May 1860-15 Dec 1925) was a South African military commander that fought in the Anglo-Zulu War, Basutoland Gun war, Bechuanaland, Second Boer war and World War 1. During WW1 he commanded units in German South west Africa Campaign in 1914-15 and commanded the 1st South African Infantry Brigade in Egypt and France and became Divisional Commander during the battle of Delville Wood in 1916.
