Memorial to the Resistance Movement of Morbihan Plumelec

This monument in the form of a menhir commemorates the resistance of the Morbihan Department against the German occupiers during the Second World War.

The text on the menhir reads:

(“This menhir was erected to perpetuate the memory of the Morbihan resistance against the occupiers (1940-1944) and the paratroopers of the S.A.S. of Free France (1944), who united in the same struggle for liberation”).

The monument was unveiled on 4-7-1971 by Henri Duvillard, Minister for Veterans and War Victims
