Foresthouse Père Hilarion

Maison du Père Hilarion, also known as the Forest House of Père Hilarion, is a historic site in Montauville, France. It is a site that gained notoriety during the First World War, particularly in the Bois-le-Prêtre. Before the war, it was a popular place for Sunday walks, but during the war it became a meeting point for both friendly and enemy water carriers and was badly damaged in fighting. The French recaptured the house in December 1914 and used it as a command post.
It was later destroyed and rebuilt in 1924.
