French Trench Montauville
On the mountainside behind Maison du Père Hilarion, the French fortified the area with shelters and machine gun posts.
The command post was located in the ranger's house.
This resistance center was 800 meters from the German front lines.
It played a crucial role until the end of the war in 1918.
