French War Graves Souilly

In the cemetery near the church, besides Commonwealth graves, are also buried French victims of the First and Second World Wars.

LECOUVREUR Claude Ernest: Captain of the 19th Artillery Regiment (19th R.A.), killed on 6 September 1914.
RAMBAUD Joseph Paul: Commander of the 258th Infantry Regiment (258th R.I.), killed on 8 September 1914.
The dates of their death coincide with the Battle of the Marne (6-12 September 1914), a crucial early battle in the First World War.

Date of death: 20 August 1944

Joseph Pierre Duva
Date of death: 19 June 1916.
