Luftwaffe Complex Bernard Zweerskade

Built around 1940 by the construction company Marcanpaul (Jan Th. Boersma), each house had multiple floors with reception rooms, bedrooms, servants' quarters, and cellars.

Upon completion, the houses were requisitioned by the Luftgaukommando Holland. Number 18 served as the office for the Kommando Flughafenbereich Amsterdam (Amsterdam Air Force Command). In May 1941, the resistance carried out an attack here; in retaliation, the Germans deported three hundred Jews to Mauthausen.

After the war, the buildings were occupied by regular residents.
